The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:</h3> \n<ul> \n <li>Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect.</li> \n <li>Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner.</li> \n <li>Bus and reset tables per company standards.</li> \n <li>Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines.</li> \n <li>Complete required side work as assigned.</li> \n <li>Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal.</li> \n <li>Maintain knowledge of menu items and can provide general descriptions.</li> \n <li>Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items.</li> \n <li>Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy.</li> \n <li>Practice safe food handling procedures at all times in accordance with all, federal, state/provincial, and local laws, regulations, and guidance and Sunrise policies and procedures.</li> \n <li>Comply with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and Risk Management programs and policies, adhere to safety rules and regulations, and practice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures.</li> \n <li>Responsible for performing other Dining Services duties when assigned by community leadership in the following areas, but not limited to:</li> \n <li>Wash and sanitize all dishes and china, silverware, glassware, utensils, and cookware.</li> \n <li>Sweep work areas, sanitize production areas, and empty trash.</li> \n <li>Prepare and serve light meals in a timely manner and in accordance with established standardized recipes and menus.</li> \n <li>Assist with food preparation and plating when necessary.</li> \n <li>Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy.</li> \n</ul> \n<h2>Collaboration, Engagement, and Team Success</h2> \n<ul> \n <li>Participate actively as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals.</li> \n <li>Demonstrate in daily interactions with others, our Team Member Credo.</li> \n <li>Commit to serving our residents and guests through our Principles of Service.</li> \n <li>Contribute to the overall engagement programs and processes.</li> \n <li>Attend regular meetings; Town Hall, Department Team, Cross Over, and others as directed by the Supervisor/Department Coordinator.</li> \n <li>Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.</li> \n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> \n</ul> \n<h2>Core Competencies</h2> \n<ul> \n <li>Ability to handle multiple priorities</li> \n <li>Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication</li> \n <li>Competent in organizational and time management skills</li> \n <li>Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills</li> \n</ul> \n<h2>Experience and Qualifications</h2> \n<h3>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
