Our focus is on quality and patient satisfaction.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>How you’ll contribute&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>A&nbsp;Patient Care Assistant (PCA) who excels in this role:&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.</li><li>Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).</li><li>Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.</li><li>Maintains clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.</li><li>Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput.</li><li>Documents care and activities per unit standards.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned; participates in performance improvement and required education.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What we’re looking for&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Previous patient care experience preferred&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Schedule: Night &amp; Day Shift Availability, 7:00am-7:30pm OR 7:00pm-7:30am.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Why&nbsp;join us&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We believe&nbsp;that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Shoals also operates the region’s only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals’ only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.</p><p>North Alabama Shoals Hospital is Joint Commission accredited, is a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tier 2 Hospital, and has received a Blue Distinguished award in hip and knee replacements.
