Our collaborative, multidisciplinary group works together to deliver integrated, high‑impact solutions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Step into Your New Role</strong>  </p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a full-time Construction Observer who performs construction inspection tasks to verify compliance with standard codes and ordinances, environmental, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. Inspections may be general in nature or limited to a specific field. Works under limited supervision from Supervisor/Manager within specific guidelines and protocols on moderately complex assignments. </p>\n<h1>RESPONSIBILITIES</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes and specifications; takes action according to findings.</li>\n <li>Prepares daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.</li>\n <li>Assists in preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required by the project.</li>\n <li>Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.</li>\n <li>Coordinate/perform field testing of materials associated with inspection as required.</li>\n <li>Performs quantity calculations for pay estimates.</li>\n <li>Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, profiles, and special staking procedures.</li>\n <li>Performs labor compliance interviews as necessary.</li>\n <li>Communicates verbally and in writing with Contractor, Owner and Project Stakeholders as directed.</li>\n <li>Ability/certifications to perform materials sampling and testing is an added benefit. </li>\n</ul>\n<h1>REQUIREMENTS</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Delivering High Quality Work (CI8)</li>\n <li>Critically reviews work processes to ensure quality.</li>\n <li>Addresses problems that could impact quality.</li>\n <li>Makes sure project deliverables and services meet all requirements and expectations.</li>\n <li>Displaying Technical Expertise (CI8)</li>\n <li>Keeps his/her technical skills current.</li>\n <li>Effectively applies specialized knowledge and skills to perform work tasks.</li>\n <li>Understands the technical skills, knowledge, and tasks associated with his/her job.</li>\n <li>Shares technical knowledge with others.</li>\n <li>Follows Policies and Procedures</li>\n <li>Understands and follows company policies.</li>\n <li>Encourages others to follow work rules.</li>\n <li>Calls attention to actions that may violate policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Adept at using electronic media, cloud-based systems, tablets, and other forms of technology.</li>\n <li>Keeps up to date on technological advancements.</li>\n <li>Adapts work approach to keep pace with innovations in technology</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Progress with an Employer that Values You</strong> </p>\n<p>Kleinfelder, and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, is an inclusive organization free from discrimination.
