    "description": "<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>As a Freight Claims Intern, you will support the filing, reconciliation, and closure of freight claims. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in logistics operations, working directly alongside our claims team. You will learn the end-to-end claims process, interact with carriers and customers, and develop skills in claims software and freight industry fundamentals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Please note that this is an on-site position at our office located at 2846 S. Falkenburg Rd, Riverview, FL 33578. The duration is May through early August, paying $15/hr. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. </strong></p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review submitted claims paperwork for accuracy.</li>\n <li>Support the management of claims for an assigned set of customers.</li>\n <li>Assist carrier partners and customer service teams with investigations to determine whether a carrier claim exists.</li>\n <li>File claims using EZ Claims software and keep claim statuses current.</li>\n <li>Review carrier claim denials for accuracy and escalate issues as needed.</li>\n <li>Learn and apply NMFC, limits of liability, and carrier rules tariffs.</li>\n <li>Assist with carrier negotiations to resolve claims and achieve the best possible outcome for customers.</li>\n <li>Work alongside Sales and customer teams to address claims questions and support education efforts.</li>\n <li>Provide claim resolution details to management, customer service, and finance/accounting.</li>\n <li>Support claims accounting processes and assist team members as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related field.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor in emails and phone calls.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Positive and persistent attitude with the ability to build relationships across departments and with external partners.</li>\n</ul>",
