    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>What’s In It For You:</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\"><strong>Bonus:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>$750 Sign-on bonus\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must maintain at least 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\"><strong>Extra Cash:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Earn shift differentials from $0.50 to $3.00 per hour depending on shift</li>\n <li>Earn additional pay incentives up to $5/hour for picking up additional, non-scheduled shifts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong><br>\n This position provides professional nursing care for residents to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times within a safe environment; maintains medical records, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals; offers emotional and social support, and attends residents’ overall physical comfort.</p>\n<p>This position is available for Full-Time (PM shift), Part-Time (PM shift), or On-Call.</p>\n<p>PM (B Shift) is 2:00pm - 10:30pm<br><br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong><br><i>The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.</i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides for resident safety, comfort and well-being.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Reviews and administers medications.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assesses the condition of residents; monitors for changes in condition and responds with appropriate action.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Communicates resident needs or condition changes to physician, family and other staff.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Performs various treatments including dressing changes, catheter care and/or insertion, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Documents tasks regarding medications passed, assessments, communications with physician and family, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Review resident care plans; completes documentation.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Compiles information requested for physician reviews.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assigns, directs, reviews and trains staff work.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Cleans, organizes and provides supplies for medical carts and rooms.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Responds to resident requests by assisting to bathroom, walking, medication requests, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provides direct patient care including repositioning, hygiene, assessing skin needs, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Receives information from prior shift; reports information to following shift.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Verifies narcotics counts at shift beginning and ending.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Requests medications from pharmacy; enters new medication orders; transcribes orders; faxes orders to pharmacy; pulls medication to return.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Reports to oncoming shifts.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of the principles, standards, practices and techniques of skilled nursing.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the dangers inherent in and precautions to be taken in the use of drugs and other medication.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of local and state rules, regulations, procedures and policies pertaining to nursing services.</li>\n <li>Ability to assign, instruct, and supervise the work of professional and nonprofessional staff.</li>\n <li>Ability to accurately maintain patient medical records and prepare required reports.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of electronic records systems.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of PPE and its proper use for personal safety measures.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and assure resident rights and privacy are protected at all times per HIPAA.</li>\n <li>Ability to create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, respect, and personal interest, as well as a clean environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing, with residents, families, the public and staff.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be able to exhibit a warm, cheerful caring manner.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>General knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, equipment and office assistance techniques.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of County and department programs and policies.</li>\n <li>Ability to work the allocated hours of the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to communicate appropriately/professionally.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the staff, supervisor, and the public.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be proficient in workplace English and spelling.</li>\n <li>Ability to read County policies and procedures;
