Works with operating company leadership to improve safety planning, processes and operational performance and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.</p>\n<p>May provide support and oversight as assigned in other related areas such as fleet management, environmental compliance, business continuity management, development of local safety personnel, operational process improvement, sustainability efforts, physical security, etc. </p>\n<p><strong>#emcor</strong></p>\n<p><strong>#LI-MJ1</strong></p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manager, EHS:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support the development, planning, and implementation of EHS and other related policies and procedures for 5-10 companies with 3,000 to 6,000 total employees.</li>\n   <li>Monitor assigned companies to ensure they follow company policies and local, state, and federal workplace regulations.</li>\n   <li>Ensure safety documentation and required recordkeeping is maintained.</li>\n   <li>Assist operating company EHS leadership with analysis, development and implementation of action plans.</li>\n   <li>Monitor hazards and make recommendations for incident prevention to operating company leadership.</li>\n   <li>Assist and advise assigned operating companies with the investigation of injuries or incidents.</li>\n   <li>Monitors and assists with the implementation of applicable EMCOR safety, quality, productivity, fleet management or other initiatives.</li>\n   <li>Reviews incident reports for assigned companies for completeness and accuracy and helps identify and implement corrective actions at assigned companies</li>\n   <li>Facilitate the engagement of other departments or functions with their assigned operating companies as necessary.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Special Projects – some examples below, but may change based on needs:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Participate in leadership focused program offerings, integrated with SQP goals and resources, to deliver and work with designated EMCOR companies.</li>\n   <li>Assist in the assessment, delivery and follow up of shop safety/productivity reviews.</li>\n   <li>Aid in the identification and dissemination of good work practice, productivity advantages, innovations and other business enhancing practices.</li>\n   <li>Assist in the integration of new acquisitions as required.</li>\n   <li>Embed in designated companies, or divisions to assist in SQP related change implementation in concert with other assigned SQP Safety Directors.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Extensive travel required (60 to 80%)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>B.A. / B.S. or equivalent trade experience desired.</li>\n <li>BCSP Certifications a plus (ASP, CSP, STS-C, CHST, etc.).</li>\n <li>4 years minimum leadership experience in addressing and reducing risk in a dynamic, hazardous and labor-intensive industry. Examples include but are not limited to: mechanical or electrical construction, mobile mechanical services, industrial maintenance or construction, site based facilities services or the associated trades (electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, sheet metal, HVAC maintenance, etc.) manufacturing, military or other deployable skilled labor force.</li>\n <li>Experience in an electrical environment is desirable, such as electrical contracting or utility work.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of, or ability to gain knowledge of local, state and federal environmental health and safety regulations and practices in construction and general industry applications.</li>\n <li>Good understanding of business processes in a construction, industrial and/or service environment.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal, management, communication, writing, and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>A history of effectively operating independently with little day-to-day supervision.</li>\n <li>A history of effectively interacting with others effectively through virtual means (MS Teams, Webex, Zoom).</li>\n <li>Experience with MS 365 applications.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<p><strong>Work Environment and Physical Demands</strong>General office, field construction or industrial environment.  Considerable stress may occur at times.  May involve exposure to work hazards.
