From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you’ll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The Senior Financial Accountant is a key individual contributor responsible for owning the month‑end close from start to finish, supporting audits, and partnering cross‑functionally to ensure accurate, timely, and well‑controlled financial reporting.</p>\n<p>This role is designed for an experienced accountant who is comfortable operating independently, applying judgment to complex issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, and enhance controls.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Primary duties will include: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Month‑End Close & Financial Reporting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Own the end‑to‑end month‑end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and close deliverables</li>\n <li>Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness</li>\n <li>Investigate and resolve reconciling items and unexpected fluctuations </li>\n <li>Partner with internal teams to meet close timelines and reporting requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Audit & Controls</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as a primary accounting contact for internal and external audit support</li>\n <li>Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and respond to auditor inquiries</li>\n <li>Apply a strong controls mindset and identify opportunities to enhance control effectiveness and documentation</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and applicable accounting standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Process Improvement & Automation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify inefficiencies in accounting, reconciliation, and reporting workflows</li>\n <li>Develop and implement process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort and improve data quality</li>\n <li>Leverage Excel and available systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency</li>\n <li>Contribute to special projects and system enhancements as the business evolves</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Cross‑Functional Communication</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner with Operations, FP&A, Compliance, and other business stakeholders to understand activity impacting financial results, and support ad-hoc initiatives requiring financial analysis and data insights</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance</li>\n <li>5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry)</li>\n <li>CPA or CPA candidate</li>\n <li>Advanced Excel skills, including working with large data sets </li>\n <li>Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic understanding of programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python, VBA)</li>\n <li>Exposure to ERP systems and accounting automation initiatives</li>\n <li>Experience in or understanding of financial securities industry</li>\n <li>Background in complex or fast‑paced accounting environments</li>\n <li>Experience improving processes or shortening close timelines</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-EJ1 </p>",
