You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss. At Pediatrix, you will receive on-the-job training. This includes annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. By offering this certification, we strive to ensure our employees are adept in improving early detection of hearing impairments and encouraging timely intervention. \n<strong>HCA North Florida Regional Medical Center</strong> \n<ul>\n <li>Full time position </li>\n <li>Daytime shift</li>\n <li>8 am start time - flexible end time depending on number of babies</li>\n</ul> \n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>On a typical day, you will conduct newborn hearing screens, usually in a new mom’s hospital room, and help educate parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools we provide. You will also be in charge of entering patient data and validation of hearing screens, as needed. Additional responsibilities may include helping to confirm or reschedule outpatient appointments, following up on any equipment issues and training new staff.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing newborn hearing screens</li>\n <li>Verifying insurance information with parent/guardian</li>\n <li>Documenting hearing screen results accurately</li>\n <li>Following protocol for timely submission of billing</li>\n <li>Following protocol related to security and identification of infants</li>\n <li>Following infection control, safety awareness and other hospital, company, and program policies</li>\n <li>Recognizing potential problems and obtaining assistance, when necessary, in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Completion of company and hospital orientation or classes, including patient privacy training</li>\n <li>Completion and maintenance of employee health requirements</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><em>Experience Industry: Entry Level Healthcare    </em></p>\n<p><em>Minimum Qualification/Education Level: </em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required                                      </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Preferred Experience Years: Entry Level.
