Description The University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Biological Sciences seeks applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position in Biology beginning August 1, 2026. Responsibilities The successful applicant will teach courses in human anatomy and physiology and introductory biology. Preference may be given to applicants who can teach Mammalogy. Applicants may also have an opportunity to teach other courses, depending on expertise and departmental needs. A typical teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Additional responsibilities include student advisement, service to the department and the university, and other scholarly activities normally associated with the department. Preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated teaching excellence and a clear plan for involving undergraduates in research. Qualifications Applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in a Biological Science or a related discipline by August 1, 2026. Interested persons must apply and attach a letter of application, current vitae, unofficial transcripts for the terminal degree, at least three references from which letters of recommendation can be solicited, a concise one-page statement of teaching philosophy, and a one-page research statement with a clear plan for involving undergraduate research students. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Inquiries should be emailed to: Dr. Jaycob D.
