Ensure that all non-exempt, "reasonably segregable" portions of a record are prepared for release to the requester. Verify that released materials do not contain information that could lead to an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy. • Draft official correspondence to requesters, including acknowledgment letters, fee estimates, and final determination letters explaining any withheld information. Communicate with requesters, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to clarify requests and negotiate the scope of disclosable records. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FOIA and Privacy Act statutes, relevant court decisions, and evolving government-wide guidance. • Review and analyze Privacy Threshold Analyses, (PTA) Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Privacy Act Statements, System of Records Notices (SORN), and information sharing agreements. • Assist with tracking metrics within the privacy compliance artifact tracking system or other Coast Guard tracking systems to improve performance and effectiveness of privacy compliance program. • Collaborate with team to update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including a Compliance Handbook to provide general time metrics in each step in the compliance documentation process.
