font-size: 16px\">Job Summary:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">The Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator performs duties related to the operation and maintenance of </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">the water/wastewater treatment plant.  This position operates a city vehicle and is considered a safety-sensitive position.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Specific Duties:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Supervises personnel assigned to the maintenance of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Performs the duties of crew members as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Prioritize repairs and maintenance projects to be completed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Inspects and maintains treatment plant equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Conducts quality control samples on water and wastewater.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Completes and maintains required reports.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Maintains work areas in an orderly fashion by cleaning, sweeping, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Monitors the treatment operation, including adjusting flows, chemical input, monitoring gauges, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Performs other related duties as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Essential Functions:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Ability to  effectively communicate in oral and written communications</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Ability to operate commercial telephones and a two-way radio</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Ability to operate a variety of moderate to light power-driven equipment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Ability to read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, specifications, and technical manuals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Ability to perform duties for extended periods in extreme weather</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Ability to maintain a physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties </span>and responsibilities, which may include walking, standing, bending, or sitting for extended </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Possess a minimum Class B Wastewater License</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Possess a minimum Class B Groundwater License</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Class I Wastewater Treatment Operator</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px\">Minimum two years experience in water or wastewater utilities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;
