The ideal candidate will be flexible and an adaptable team player with a Level 2 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent) and will be passionate about Early Years care and education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Main Duties: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>To assist in the planning and provision of a caring and stimulating environment that is appropriate to individual children and enables them to work towards achieving their full potential.</li>\n<li>To work closely with other Early Years staff to follow planning and deliver it in a way that enables children to learn.</li>\n<li>To establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families in a way that values parental involvement. To keep and share observations.</li>\n<li>To assist in keeping pupil files and assessment records up to date and accurate.</li>\n<li>To set up for and tidy up after sessions.</li>\n<li>To provide a service that respects the life experiences of the pupils and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, ability, race and religion.</li>\n<li>To work effectively as part of a team.</li>\n<li>To work within the agreed framework of policies and procedures set out within the school.</li>\n<li>To support students and volunteers on placements.</li>\n<li>To assist in the management of material resources.</li>\n<li>To take part in day-to-day administration.</li>\n<li>To photocopy as required.</li>\n<li>To assist with record keeping, administration and general filing.</li>\n<li>To assist with classroom displays.</li>\n<li>To help promote the use of ICT in all aspects of teaching and learning.</li>\n<li>To carry out duties and responsibilities of the post with regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy and the needs of the school.</li>\n<li>To act as an ambassador of the school and to maintain a positive image of its aims and objectives.</li>\n<li>To liaise with EYFS colleagues, the Head of EYFS and the Headmaster on a regular basis.</li>\n<li>To carry out playtime and lunchtime duties.</li>\n<li>To assist in concerts, productions and celebrations within the department.</li>\n<li>To attend Open Days as required.</li>\n<li>To attend staff meetings, staff development and training as appropriate.</li>\n<li>To carry out any other duties which will be seen to enhance the children’s learning and care in the school.</li>\n<li>To assist in the supervision of out-of-school care as required.</li>\n<li>To liaise with outside agencies as appropriate.</li>\n<li>To keep all information regarding the school, pupils and staff completely confidential at all times.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Candidate: </span></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn. They will enjoy working with children, demonstrate a positive attitude and be committed to developing their skills within a school environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Experience</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired skills, qualities and qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant Level 2 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or Equivalent)</li>\n<li>Current safeguarding training (within the last three years)</li>\n<li>Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grade C or above</li>\n<li>Experience of Early Years education</li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework</li>\n<li>Competent ICT skills</li>\n<li>Outstanding communication/interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Proven ability to work as part of a team</li>\n<li>An ability to prioritise and carry out specific requests in a timely manner</li>\n<li>Problem solving skills</li>\n<li>A flexible attitude</li>\n<li>A commitment to CPD</li>\n<li>Humour, patience, stamina, loyalty and humility</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current Paediatric First Aid qualification</li>\n<li>Experience of working in a relevant setting</li>\n<li>Experience of working with children in a voluntary capacity</li>\n<li>Experience of working with children beyond an Early Years setting</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training and Development: </span></p>\n<p>As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Study towards a relevant qualification, Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.</li>\n<li>On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals.</li>\n<li>Regular review meetings to track progress and development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? </em>The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship standard qualification.</p>\n<p><em>What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? </em>Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pre-employment checks.
