The hospital offers a range of services, including orthopedics, spine surgery, sports medicine, scoliosis treatment, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and pediatric rehabilitation and therapy. The facility is Joint Commission accredited, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of patient safety and quality care. We offer low-cost, on-site parking. We have an opportunity for a full-time Patient Care Assistant in our PICU. Responsibilities Assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families Monitors children’s activities and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment for children Answers telephones, triages phone calls appropriately Completes purchase orders for PICU and inpatient unit Maintains unit supplies and monitors’ inventory Assists with routine secretarial assistance such as copying, faxing, and typing Assist with patient transport Schedule appointments with consultants, radiology, and other imaging services Assists with performance improvement processes and gathering data This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma / GED Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Preferred: One year of pediatric experience
