    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span>The Manufacturing Engineer is a shop‑floor–first engineering role focused on executing safe, capable, and compliant manufacturing processes for ASME pressure vessels and engineered products. This role supports a high-mix, welded tank fabrication environment with a focus on supporting daily production, resolving constraints, improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and leading capital and continuous improvement projects from concept through execution.</span></p><p><span>This role serves as a key liaison between Product Development and Operations, ensuring new product designs are feasible, cost-effective, and scalable within current and future manufacturing capacity.</span></p><p><span>The role collaborates cross‑functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance, and reports to the Plant Engineering Manager.</span></p><p><span>Compensation range will vary depending on level of experience. $85,000-$139,000</span></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><span>Maintain daily shop floor presence supporting ASME production lines; actively engage with supervisors, leads, and operators to resolve real‑time technical issues.</span></li><li><span>Troubleshoot process, tooling, equipment, and quality issues at the cell level; lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.</span></li><li><span>Serve as the technical escalation point for complex production problems affecting safety, quality, or throughput.</span></li><li><span>Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable ASME Section VIII / IX, customer, and regulatory requirements.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Partner with Quality to support:&nbsp;</span><ul><li><span>Weld procedures (WPS/PQR/WPQR)</span></li><li><span>Product tolerance control</span></li><li><span>Hydro, pneumatic, and functional testing requirements</span></li></ul></li><li><span>Collaborate with Product Engineering during ECO processes to ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, and cost‑effective.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Drive continuous improvement in:&nbsp;</span><ul><li><span>Safety performance</span></li><li><span>First‑pass yield</span></li><li><span>Scrap and rework reduction</span></li><li><span>Labor and cycle time</span></li></ul></li><li><span>Specify, justify, and support implementation of manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tooling, and automation.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), run‑offs, and equipment commissioning.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Work closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment capability, uptime, and safe operation.</span></li><li><span>Partner with Operations and Quality to support certification, qualification, and skills development (e.g., welding, testing, specialty processes).</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Desired Experience</strong></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Welding Engineering (or equivalent experience).</span></li><li><span>3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in:&nbsp;</span><ul><li><span>ASME pressure vessels</span></li><li><span>Fabricated or welded products</span></li><li><span>Engineered‑to‑order environments</span></li></ul></li><li><span>Strong knowledge of shop floor manufacturing operations, welding, forming, assembly and/or pressure testing processes.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Structured problem solving, clear communication, collaborative leadership, and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.</span></li><li><span>Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory compliance.</span></li><li><span>Background in Lean manufacturing and structured problem solving.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated success working cross‑functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering.</span></li></ul>",
