    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p><ol><li>Performs patient assessments in a systematic and organized manner to provide high quality and safe outcomes.</li><li>Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment.</li><li>Analyzes collected data to formulate a plan of care that contributes to high quality and safe outcomes.</li><li>Implements a plan of care with measurable criteria consistent with work class performance levels.</li><li>Evaluates the plan of care with the patient and family/support system to maintain world class levels of patient satisfaction and outcomes.</li><li>Contributes to a high performance work environment by seeking educational resources that enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills.</li></ol><p><strong>Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:</strong></p><p>Must also perform the following department specific duties:</p><ol><li>Achieve NRP Certification within six months of hire and maintain throughout.</li><li>Attend S.T.A.B.L.E. class within eight months of hire and maintain throughout,.</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of OB specific medications (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate)</li><li>Performs sterile vaginal exams to assess labor progress (dilation, effacement, station, position)</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of fetal monitoring, including application of fetal scalp electrode and interpretation of reassuring and non-reassuring fetal monitoring strips.</li><li>Demonstrates competency in scrubbing/circulating for C-Sections</li><li>Utilizes appropriate Breastfeeding techniques, holds and equipment to promote successful breast-feeding</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of infant security procedures</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of oxygen therapy in the treatment of newborns with respiratory distress</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of infant umbilical catheters</li><li>Recognize signs and symptoms of hyperbilirubinemia and provide Phototherapy set-up, use and cleaning of equipment</li><li>Demonstrates proficiency in preforming and documenting newborn hearing screens, and CHD screens</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge in caring for the stillborn and offering grief support to the family.</li></ol>",
