    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>&nbsp;<span style=\"color: rgb(221,88,40);font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">POSITION SUMMARY:</span>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the Pool<br>Manager is responsible for leading the day to day operations and management of<br>the George Murphy and Bay Hundred Community Pools. Day to day operations<br>include guard supervision, scheduling, program development, facility<br>management/maintenance, and training. The Pool Manager is also responsible for<br>hiring, training, supervising, and leading their team in superior levels of<br>member service and engagement.</span> <span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">The successful candidate will help craft and implement a vision that ensures a fun, robust, engaging, and exciting aquatic program for all. </span>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(221,88,40);font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Directs and supervises all program activities and special events as they relate to the operation of the swimming pool. </span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Recruits, hires, trains, develops schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed within swim and program department. Reviews and evaluates associate performance. Develops strategies to motivate associates and achieve goals. Maintains records of associate certifications ensure they are current and complete.</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Ability to perform all functions as those they supervise and maintain qualifications and certifications of Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Pool Operator, and Lifeguard Instructor. May be required<br>     to secure other certifications / training post hiring (CPR instructor, etc.. at Y expense and as directed by supervisor)</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and Y health and safety regulations and maintains<br>     accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance.</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Responsible (with all lifeguards) for daily cleaning and general maintenance of swimming pool (including vacuuming,backwashing, etc..), pool decks, bath house, and surrounding areas</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Develops all operating manuals, daily checklists, and best practices to ensure a first class swimming pool<br>     operation</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Conducts lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR trainings and in-services training weekly</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Creates and schedules swim lessons, and lifeguard classes</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Schedules all summer pool rentals and supplies lifeguards as needed</span>&nbsp;</li>\n<li dir = \"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Plans, develops and implements all camper special events, programs, and activates as they relate to the swimming pool.
