The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing students' technology needs, recommending appropriate assistive technology tools and devices, and providing training and support to students, teachers, and families.</p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct assessments of students' functional abilities, learning styles, and technology needs to determine appropriate assistive technology solutions.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with teachers, special educators, therapists, and other members of the educational team to integrate assistive technology tools and strategies into students' educational plans.</li>\n <li>Recommend and implement assistive technology devices, software programs, apps, and other supports to enhance students' access to the curriculum and promote independence and inclusion.</li>\n <li>Provide training and technical assistance to students, teachers, and families on the use of assistive technology tools and accommodations.</li>\n <li>Develop and deliver professional development workshops and training sessions on assistive technology best practices and strategies for supporting students with disabilities.</li>\n <li>Stay updated on advances in assistive technology tools, software, and devices, and provide recommendations for new technologies to support student learning and engagement.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with vendors, technology specialists, and community resources to explore and acquire assistive technology resources for students and schools.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and confidential records of assistive technology assessments, recommendations, and training sessions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Technology, Rehabilitation Engineering, or related field.</li>\n <li>Certification as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) or Assistive Technology Specialist (ATS) preferred but not required.</li>\n <li>Previous experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of assistive technology tools and strategies.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices related to assistive technology and accessibility.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and related service providers.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in assessment, documentation, and record-keeping.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Benefits:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health and wellness benefits package</li>\n <li>Flexible work arrangements</li>\n <li>Opportunities for professional development and growth</li>\n <li>Collaborative and supportive work environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equal Opportunity Employer:</p>\n<p>E-Therapy is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
