    "description": "<p>Join Metro's Multi-Media Advertising Sales Team</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We're seeking dynamic, creative and energetic media sales representatives to represent a line of digital marketing products and local publications in Silicon Valley and throughout the Bay Area that influence where people shop, find entertainment and spend their leisure time. You'll help local and regional businesses gain new customers while making a difference in local communities by supporting local news and journalism.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Successful candidates are career-minded and outgoing people who bring great ideas to a wide variety of retailers and business professionals. And help businesses build market share to active consumers using multi-media marketing solutions.  </span>Candidates must be energetic, creative and eager to seek new business. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Applicants should have excellent customer service skills, basic understanding of marketing principles, strong written and verbal skills in addition to a positive attitude. Reliable transportation is required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Responsibilities include:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Outside sales presentations, face-to-face consultations and video conferences with key decision makers</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Ability to work with local clients to learn objectives and opportunities</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Prospecting local markets to continuously fill sales pipeline and open new accounts</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Fearless cold-calling and lead generation</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Sale of print and digital marketing solutions including Metro, newsletters, multiple websites, email and SEM</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Oversight of client campaigns and regular communication of performance results</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Maintaining client data base, account information, scheduling of appointments, prospecting calls </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>   and next steps in sales process.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>We offer a competitive salary, paid time off, health benefits, HSA, FSA and 401k.
