This role involves assisting with training sessions, providing skill instruction, and helping to create a positive team environment.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Ministerial</strong></u> <u><strong>Character</strong></u></p><p>Catholic schools in the Diocese of Austin are canonically obedient to the Bishop and assist him in fulfilling his ministry and canonical obligations. Pastors and principals serve as leaders of the schools to make Christ's mission present and enduring in the schools. To fulfill Christ's mission, the school leaders employ suitable, chosen collaborators, sharing Christ's mission with them and entrusting them with various responsibilities. Positions employed in this School help extend the ministry of the School leaders in particular ways, as outlined in the job description. The employee in this position is closely connected to and assists the School leaders in the performance of their ministry and, therefore, engages in ministry for the Church.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Essential</strong></u> <u><strong>Job</strong></u> <u><strong>Duties:</strong></u></p><p>• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic Education and the mission of the school and church.</p><p>• Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.</p><p>• Support and adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school, parish, and diocese.</p><p>• Maintain confidentiality regarding school and church matters.</p><p>• Model professional conduct and sensible sportsmanship while instilling these characteristics within team members.</p><p>• Teach essential safety skills and strategies to student-athletes; monitor safety compliance.</p><p>• Follow school and TAPPS policies regarding academic eligibility, safety guidelines, and transportation rules.</p><p>• Instruct athletes about proper strategy, skills, and rules of the game</p><p>• Use approved, corrective, and positive discipline procedures in dealing with inappropriate student conduct.</p><p>• Collaborate with school personnel to enhance the work environment and support academic programming.</p><p>• Perform administrative tasks as required by the athletic director/head coach.</p><p>• Perform other related tasks and attend meetings as assigned.</p>",
