The legacy Claims Data System (CDS) is being decommissioned in February 2027, and we must ensure our business users retain access to historical claims data for investigations and reporting.</p><p>This role will be instrumental in a special project focused on consolidating complex claims data and developing a user-friendly interface to make this data accessible. The successful candidate will work closely with our data and business teams to transform raw data into a valuable business asset.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with data engineers and business SMEs to understand data requirements.</li><li>Design, develop, and implement a 'semantic' data layer, consolidating approximately 150 tables from the legacy CDS system into a collection of business-ready data products within our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.</li><li>Develop a user interface (UI) in Excel, leveraging the newly created data products to allow business users to easily look up and analyze historical claims information.</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the data aggregation processes and the final UI tool.</li><li>Participate in knowledge transfer sessions to hand off the completed solution and documentation to the business and IT support teams.</li><li>Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solution is accurate, reliable, and meets business needs.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What do you bring to the role?</strong></p><ul><li>Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Technology Management, or a related field.</li><li>Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, Power Query, and creating user-friendly interfaces.</li><li>Experience with data manipulation and analysis.
