The ideal candidate will have experience supporting USCG VMWare, Global 6/GCCS, RHEL and Windows Server and Client systems in a 24x7 environment. Handles multiple applications, systems, network, and/or telecommunications activities. Manages information systems throughout the organization. May include programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and/or administration responsibilities. Resolves technical problems.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides troubleshooting and operational support on site at C5ISC Portsmouth, VA and USCG Atlantic Area in Portsmouth, VA</li>\n <li>Provides recommendations on tools to monitor and support all environments.</li>\n <li>Assists with making process and system improvement recommendations to assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experiences.</li>\n <li>Installs and maintains the organization’s computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.</li>\n <li>Recommends improvement in programs and procedures to simplify or maximize efficiency of operations.</li>\n <li>Analyzes and solves computer problems, and assures technology meets the needs of the organization.</li>\n <li>This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and responsibilities. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Active Secret clearance</p></li>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree – preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>Security + CE certification</p></li>\n <li><p>Linux + certification or similar certification</p></li>\n <li>10+ years of systems administration and/or engineering experience</li>\n <li><p>Linux Systems Administration/Red Hat Ansible Tower experience – strongly desired</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with VMware vSphere vCenter Server and EXSi Host – strongly preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with GCCS-J/Global 6 – strongly preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with DISA Agile Client – strongly preferred</p><p>Experience with Windows 11 system administration – strongly preferred</p></li>\n <li>Knowledge - Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards. Has moderate skill sets & developing proficiency within field and knowledge of company, processes & customers.</li>\n <li>Problem Solving - Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.</li>\n <li>Discretion/Latitude - Works under very general supervision. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
