Description

Essential Job Functions Coordinates investigations to resolve information system issues Conducts research to understand, explain and resolve technology issues Communicates updates to users that have been or may be affected by a problem Follows up with users after problems have been resolved Utilizes help desk tracking software to present recommendations and improvements for user systems Initiates onboarding procedures for new users into the system Ensures response times are quick and effective to appropriately resolve requests Coordinates referrals to technical, professional or service personnel depending on the repair, training, service or software issues Basic Job Skills Trouble shooting skills Ability to foster teamwork Decision-making skills Oral and written communication skills Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills Technical expertise Ability to positively communicate and collaborate with their customer base in all situations and cases Industry experience performing essential job functions with technology used by INFICON The IT Help Desk Support Specialist position is for individuals that possess a solid foundation in computer systems as well as a foundation in IT fundamentals and their implementations. It is intended for those who have experience working and interacting within a corporate environment. Successful employees in this role will demonstrate the following behaviors: Continual effort to increase his/her technical abilities and education Works towards becoming an emerging expert for specific IT technologies Seeks to take ownership of his/her work Willingness to work independently, even when stepping outside of his/her comfort zone and working with new techniques or technologies Recognizes when aspects of a task exceed his/her abilities and seeks out assistance (team lead, manager, etc.) for clarification and guidance Demonstrates maturity when interacting with others (such as the members of his/her team, internal/external customers, and other colleagues) Demonstrates ability to motivate, lead, and mentor more junior members of teams and projects The expected annual salary for this position is  116k. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10%.
