If you are dedicated to customer success and love the outdoors like we do, we&rsquo;d like to meet you!</p><p><strong>Why Choose The Bruce Company?</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>$1,000 sign up bonus.</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></li><li>Enjoy work/life balance, weekly pay, and year-round benefits as well as PTO&nbsp;</li><li>Make a difference by beautifying the outdoor environment!</li><li>Work on some of the largest and most prestigious projects in Dane County!</li><li>Establish and develop your career with Southern Wisconsin&rsquo;s leader in landscaping!</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Material Handling:</strong> Deliver and pick up construction and plant materials throughout Madison and surrounding areas.</li><li><strong>Load Management:</strong> Organize and load/unload products, equipment, and materials onto trucks for delivery, ensuring load safety and accuracy.</li><li><strong>Vehicle Operation:</strong> Safely and courteously operate assigned vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, vans, spider trucks, tree spades, and tractor-trailers.</li><li><strong>Equipment Use:</strong> Operate equipment such as loaders, skid steers, Bobcats, and forklifts for loading/unloading tasks.</li><li><strong>Inspection and Maintenance:</strong> Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance.</li><li><strong>Record Keeping:</strong> Maintain accurate records for trips, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incidents, accidents, and other required documentation.</li><li><strong>Snow Removal:</strong> Assist with snow removal during winter months.</li><li><strong>Policy Adherence:</strong> Follow company policies, safety procedures, and complete assigned tasks diligently.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Outdoor Work:</strong> Perform work primarily outdoors in all seasons, with exposure to various weather conditions.</li><li><strong>Noise Level:</strong> Work in environments with moderate noise levels; hearing protection required for certain tasks.</li><li><strong>Chemical Exposure:</strong> Potential exposure to chemicals and fertilizers.</li></ul><p><strong>Schedule</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Full-Time Seasonal Position:</strong> Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm (40-55 hours/week) during peak season (April to November), with Saturday hours as needed.</li><li><strong>Winter Schedule:</strong> Hours vary in winter months (December through March) based on snow removal needs.</li><li><strong>Overtime:</strong> Overtime may be required based on workload.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Licensing:</strong> Valid Class A or B commercial driver&rsquo;s license (CDL) with a good driving record.</li><li><strong>Certification:</strong> Current federal DOT medical card.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Previous experience with equipment such as loaders, Bobcats, skid steers, and forklifts is preferred.</li><li><strong>Navigation Skills:</strong> Ability to follow directions, navigate routes, and read maps.</li><li><strong>Self-Motivation:</strong> Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.</li><li><strong>Language Skills:</strong> Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>The Bruce Company offers a competitive hourly wage along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life, disability, and retirement benefits.
