Description
About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team. This role performs in-house modifications to electric motors to meet specific customer requirements before shipment.
If you have experience with automotive mechanics, motorcycle or diesel mechanics, engine rebuild, industrial maintenance mechanics or mechanical assembling, or taking motors or engines apart and rebuilding them, we want to hear from you.
Primary Responsibilities:
Modify electric motors per customer specification. Produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop. Work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues. Be proficient enough with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop. Work in conjunction with the warehouse team to insure proper placement of modified motors in inventory. Support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects. Other duties as assigned. Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge / training:
Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motors. Ability to handle manual and power tools. Understand and follow safety procedures. Familiar with modification procedures. Familiar with the inventory control system. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements. Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience:
