Ensure copy is error-free, check facts, and be mindful of potential legal concerns.</li><li>Manage copy improvements through careful editing, rewriting and grammar checking.</li><li>Add value to copy through additional media and eye-catching visual elements.</li><li>Distill large volume of gathered story materials into good stories.</li><li>Ensure output deadlines are met. Capable of turning around raw copy fast when needed.</li><li>Manage assignment scheduling, maintaining a steady flow of pages to avoid creating bottlenecks.</li><li>Create and source engaging, reliable and shareable content.</li><li>Collaborate closely with writers, graphic designers and other members of staff.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Skills and Experience that will lead to success:</strong></p><ul><li>Degree or above in Journalism, Communication, Language or related disciplines.</li><li>At least 8 years relevant experience in real-time online news operation, wire service, newspaper, or newspaper production.</li><li>Management experience desirable.</li><li>Excellent news judgment and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.</li><li>Good understanding of Hong Kong, the region, and international.</li><li>Demonstrate deep knowledge in chosen specialist area.</li><li>Must be meticulous with facts, able to work under tight deadline pressures.</li><li>Top notch English writing style.
