Our school provides a calm and welcoming learning environment, set in a quiet residential area alongside a large playing field, offering a positive contrast to the surrounding urban area.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are seeking two enthusiastic and committed Apprentice SEND Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who are keen to develop their skills within a primary school environment while completing a Level 3 apprenticeship.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Apprenticeship Summary:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary: </span>£12,480 per year (based on £8.00 per hour)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Week:</span> Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm (including 30-minute break)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours:</span> 30 hours per week</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> Elsley Primary School, Tokyngton Avenue, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 6HT</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Apprenticeship Qualification:</span> Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship (SEND Pathway)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training:</span> On-the-job training with online apprenticeship support from tutors</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Role:</span></p>\n<p>As an Apprentice SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work under the direction of teachers and the SEND team to support pupils with a range of complex needs. You will help pupils access learning, achieve their EHCP outcomes and develop their independence, social skills and emotional wellbeing.</p>\n<p>You will support in class, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, contributing to a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where all pupils can thrive.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Main Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support pupils with SEND in lessons, small groups and 1:1 sessions</li>\n<li>Assist in delivering learning activities and targeted interventions</li>\n<li>Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development</li>\n<li>Encourage positive behaviour, independence and self-confidence</li>\n<li>Help monitor, record and report on pupil progress</li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers and external professionals</li>\n<li>Contribute to classroom organisation and learning resources</li>\n<li>Support safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across the school</li>\n<li>Take part in wider school life and activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Candidate:</span></p>\n<p>We are looking for someone who is:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passionate about supporting children and young people</li>\n<li>Interested in working with pupils with SEND</li>\n<li>Patient, empathetic and positive</li>\n<li>A strong communicator and team player</li>\n<li>Reliable, professional and eager to learn</li>\n<li>Committed to completing a Level 3 apprenticeship</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults</li>\n<li>Ability to work well as part of a team and follow guidance</li>\n<li>Good organisational skills and attention to detail</li>\n<li>Basic ICT skills</li>\n<li>Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training and Development</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>As an apprentice, you will receive a combination of on-the-job training and formal learning, including:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard</li>\n<li>Regular mentoring and support from experienced staff</li>\n<li>Ongoing progress reviews and development meetings</li>\n<li>Training to support classroom practice and professional development</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? </em>The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? </em>Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pre-employment checks.
