This is done to meet design specifications, improve durability, or prepare parts for further machining or use. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>2nd shift (Mon-Friday 2-10:30pm)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary: $22-$24/hour + 3.00 Shift Differential </p>\n<p>Hours: 2pm - 10:30pm </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Heat Treatment Operations: Operate furnaces, ovens, quenching tanks, and other heat-treating equipment to perform processes such as annealing, hardening, tempering, normalizing, carburizing, or stress relieving.</li>\n <li>Specimen and Part Preparation: Prepare metal parts for treatment by cleaning, assembling fixtures, and verifying material condition.</li>\n <li>Process Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor time, temperature, and cooling rates using sensors or control panels; accurately document all processing data.</li>\n <li>Equipment Maintenance: Maintain heat treat equipment, validate that instruments are calibrated before using, and ensure safe operation.</li>\n <li>Compliance and Safety: Follow strict safety guidelines, environmental controls, and quality standards (e.g., AMS, ASTM, or customer-specific requirements).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills / Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>HS Diploma or GED required</li>\n <li>Possess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the workday with limited supervision</li>\n <li>Understand what must be completed each workday and takes the initiative to complete those tasks properly and timely</li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required</li>\n <li>Attention to detail, safety awareness, and good documentation practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work is performed in a machine shop environment, which may include exposure to high temperatures, loud noises, and moving mechanical parts.</li>\n <li>The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) throughout the shift.</li>\n <li>Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and heat-resistant gear.</li>\n <li>May be exposed to furnace heat, hot surfaces, and quenching materials during heat treat operations.</li>\n <li>The position requires working with industrial equipment in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.</li>\n <li>Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting where deadlines and accuracy are critical.</li>\n <li>Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, and overtime depending on production needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Diversity Statement</h2>\n<p>At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
