Description

Special Instructions to Applicants Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. The University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B). Job Summary Directs and plans goals for a competitive NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis program in accordance with University, conference, and NCAA rules and procedures; recruits and develops student-athletes, as well as committing to student-athlete personal and academic welfare; committing to gender and ethnic diversity; participates in support of development of marketing and fund-raising activities, public and media relations activities; oversees practices, competition, assistant coaches, and budget (including scholarships, travel, equipment, etc.) Primary Duties and Responsibilities Performs coaching and recruiting duties. Fields a competitive team. Complies with NCAA and conference rules and regulations, and department plans. Demonstrates effectiveness of public relations, media relations, and people skills. Demonstrates effectiveness in monitoring student-athlete academic progress, retention, and graduation. Sets and accomplishes program goals. Effectively maintains budget, organizational skills and student-athlete involvement. Maintains effective working relationship with department support staff and other university personnel. Demonstrates effectiveness in maintaining discipline and control of student-athletes and program. Effectiveness in management of scholarships. Performs other duties as assigned.
