</strong>N/A</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p>\n<p>Operate and maintain central energy plants consisting of centrifugal chillers, marine boilers, condensing water heater, heat exchangers, pumps, diesel generators and electrical switch gear.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Operate and maintain all aspects of the central energy plant and associated equipment</li>\n <li>Diagnose mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic and control malfunctions</li>\n <li>Perform basic maintenance on air handlers, energy wheels, fan coils and heat pumps</li>\n <li>Use computers to operate the building automation, fire alarm and work orders systems</li>\n <li>Utilize the building automation system to change set points, rotate equipment schedules, trend variables, interpolate alarms and maintain control over the systems</li>\n <li>Perform routine inspections of all HVAC, electrical and control equipment</li>\n <li>Ensure that all systems are performing at their highest level of energy efficiency</li>\n <li>Oversee fire alarm, building automation, and work order systems</li>\n <li>Maintain records of maintenance and repairs using computerized maintenance programs</li>\n <li>Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to department manager</li>\n <li>Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED required</li>\n <li>Associates Degree (Technical) in related field from accredited educational institution or Trade Diploma &nbsp;preferred</li>\n <li>Four years operator/maintenance experience performing PM’s, troubleshooting and repairs in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility on chillers, pumps, air handlers, boilers, generators, etc. required</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license &nbsp;with no suspended, denied or revoked driver’s license within the last 3 years required</li>\n <li><strong>Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:</strong></li>\n <li>Understanding of chilled and hot water systems</li>\n <li>Understanding of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, (HVAC), operation to include theory of operation and controls</li>\n <li>The ability to use test equipment including, but not limited to, multi-meters, temperature and pressure probes, and circuit tracers</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems, three phase and single phase, up to 600 volts</li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand blueprints and diagrams</li>\n <li>Ability to use technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment</li>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items</li>\n <li>Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with hand and power tools</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs</li>\n <li>Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues</li>\n <li>Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English</li>\n <li>Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations</li>\n <li>Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality including secondhand smoke</li>\n <li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends evenings and holidays</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.&nbsp;
