Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Serves as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice. </li>\n <li>Major roles of the Clinical Specialist include those of practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, change agent, and Clinical Guideline Manager. </li>\n <li>Utilizes clinical practice expertise to serve as a role model for collaborative practice model.</li>\n <li>Develops clinical guidelines for high-risk/high cost patients through clinical pathwaysystems.</li>\n <li>Conducts clinical research; assists nursing staff in applying research findings and pathwaydata analysis results as they relate to patient outcomes.</li>\n <li>Monitors resource utilization to assure appropriate level of utilization.</li>\n <li>Assists with the development and evaluation of policies, procedures, and standards of care;ensures consistency of clinical guideline documents and hospital-wide policies withrecognized regulatory and specialty standards.</li>\n <li>Facilitates resolution of individual patient care variances.</li>\n <li>Serves as a patient advocate and as a resource for complex patient care situations.</li>\n <li>Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to Manager. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>REQUIRED</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li> Master's Degree in Nursing from an Accredited College or University.</li>\n <li> Minimum (3) years experience in clinical area.</li>\n <li> Effective analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>\n <li> Demonstrated ability to educate others and serve as a positive change agent.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Hours:</h2>7:30 AM - 4:00 PM",
