    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">The Position: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">The Mental Health Care Manager (MHCM) supports and facilitates the care of student mental health and well-being on campus.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">This role will work closely with<br>the Student Life department, the Student Health &amp; Wellness providers on campus and other relevant university faculty &amp; staff to accomplish acting as a first point of contact for students looking for mental health supports, helping triage students to the most appropriate resource for their needs, coordinating service, arranging for education and training opportunities for students, and coordinating groups or sessions relating to mental health and well-being. </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">This position is a full-time role from August-May (10 months – 37.5 hrs per week) – FTE 83%</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Part time or alternative scheduling of hours can be discussed. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">The role is under the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Managerial / Professional 1</span> Job Class.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 0, 0)\">:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Student Mental Health Support:</span><br><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Triaging students who are needing mental health or related support. The MHCM will be involved in the triaging of students and their concerns, as needed. This may include meetings with students to assess their needs for referral purposes. This triaging is non-therapeutic (not counselling). </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Referring students to the relevant support services (i.e. medical, counselling, academic supports, etc.)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Coaching, encouraging and empowering students in their mental health journey</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Receiving Early Intervention Forms (or related forms/communications) from staff and faculty and developing a plan of care for mental health support for the students involved</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Supporting students who are experiencing semi-urgent or urgent mental health situations, with referral to appropriate crisis services as needed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Developing a supportive reintegration plan for students returning to campus after hospitalization/ER/medical leave related to mental health issues. Following up with students and situations, as needed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">May involve developing relationships and connections with local mental health agencies and other external supports, making arrangements with partnering agencies, community resources, etc., as needed. Liaising and collaborating with local authorities and professionals, as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Informing relevant university employees of student concerns, when appropriate</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Identifying and supporting students who are facing barriers or are experiencing higher risk to their mental health</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Promoting mental health and well-being on campus</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Communicating wellness programs and services to students</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Working with the Marketing and Communications team to manage relevant social media and other related channels designated for student wellness. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Contributing to social media content on channels designated for wellness purposes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Working with other Redeemer employees to promote wellness programs and services</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Delivering presentations about the mental health resources available to students, employees and, possibly, prospective students.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;
