Overview Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), a member hospital of Dartmouth Health, is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist to join a team of well-established clinicians and support staff.

Team with Medical Oncologist/Hematologist with significant experience in the community
Radiation Oncologist
Supportive Care Physician, Board Certified in Palliative Care
Advanced Practice Providers
Oncology Certified Nursing Staff
Nine Chair Infusion Suite
Full Range of Supportive Services to include Social Worker, Nurse Navigator, Financial Navigator, RN Triage and Care Coordinator, Clincial Research Nurse, Dedicated and Proficient Rehab Team
On-Site CLIA Certified Lab and Oncology Pharmacy
Our experienced and dedicated team cares for those with cancer and blood disorders in the greater Bennington, Vermont area to include the surrounding communities in New York and Massachusetts. The SVRCC is ACOS Commission on Cancer Accredited with an active, multidisciplinary cancer conference.
Four Day Schedule, Primarily Outpatient Practice with 1:5 Call Structure
Salary Range $462,000 - $510,000)
Incentive compensation may be available in addition to base salary. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off and CME support). A sign-on bonus and relocation stipend may also be available, subject to eligibility.

Responsibilities
1. Provide clinical and related administrative services to ensure timely care of patients.2. Abide by the Dartmouth Health Bylaws for the Professional Staff and Code of Conduct.3. Review records and detailed medical history from patient(s).4. Determine appropriate diagnosis (diagnoses) and treatment plan(s).5. Determine and order appropriate screening and diagnostic tests and studies.6. Obtain informed consent for treatment diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and studies.7. Interpret and evaluate test and study results.8. Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical devices in accordance within specialty scope of practice and applicable rules and regulations.9. Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary.10. Initiate admission/discharge of patients, if applicable.11. Provide consultation, education, and counseling regarding the management of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries. Encourage behavioral change and assist with self-management skills to improve overall health, within specialty scope of practice.12. Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.13. Provide patient and family-centered care.14. Insure the patient’s right to privacy, confidentiality and informed consent.15. Supervise APP’s as directed.16. Participate in continuing medical education (CME).17. Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO)
Post graduate training in residency program
Required Licensure/Certifications
Medical License in the State of Vermont
Board Certified / Board Eligible
