    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring a Mechanic Field Service Technician III at 11120 West Highway 80 East Odessa, TX 79765. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsible for diagnosing problems and performing complex and/or major mechanical repairs at the customer’s place of business on customer's equipment including engines, engine components, and sub-assemblies.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose all problems with customer's equipment.</li>\n <li>Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.</li>\n <li>Perform complex and/or major repairs on customer's equipment. Replace parts and equipment as necessary.</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.</li>\n <li>Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.</li>\n <li>Assist lower-level Field Service Technicians in completing work assignments as necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.</li>\n <li>Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.</li>\n <li>Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.</li>\n <li>Ability to utilize laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools required.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required, and three to seven years related experience. </li>\n <li>Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates & Licenses:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Technical certification in automotive and/or diesel engine repair required. Prior experience with diesel engine repair and rebuild required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Activities & Requirements: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) </li>\n <li>Sense of Smell</li>\n <li>Sense of Touch</li>\n <li>Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, location, and/or customer.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work at various customer's place of business outside and/or in a shop environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.</p>",
