Position Title: Senior Manager, Finance Classification: Exempt Position Status: Full Time Reports To: Vice President Finance – North America Direct Reports: Finance Analyst Role Objectives: The Senior Manager, Finance Operations leads the day-to-day accounting, compliance, and operational finance functions for the NA region across three legal entities (US, Mexico, Canada). This role is the operational hub of the LA Finance team — owning the monthly close cycle, general ledger integrity, payroll oversight, multi-entity tax and compliance filings, and financial controls. The Senior Manager supervises a team of four and works in close collaboration with the shared services finance teams, the VP Finance in LA, and the FP&A function. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced accounting professional who combines deep technical GL expertise — ideally gained in JD Edwards (JDE) — with the judgment to manage multi-entity complexity, cross-functional stakeholders, and a high-volume close environment. The role requires someone who can both execute and lead: reviewing and approving journal entries, managing escalations, and mentoring analysts while driving process improvement and automation adoption. Qualifications: · Bachelor%27s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field · 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role · Comprehensive general ledger management experience — full-cycle close ownership across multiple entities · Deep hands-on proficiency with JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne; must be comfortable navigating GL, customer master, and reporting functions independently · Demonstrated experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities or subsidiaries · Working knowledge of multi-jurisdiction tax and compliance obligations (Sales & Use, B&O, GST/HST, or equivalent) · Strong payroll accounting background — multi-entity, multi-currency payroll journal preparation and review · Advanced Excel skills; experience with ADP or similar payroll platforms Preferred Qualifications: · Experience in a consumer goods, distribution, or manufacturing environment · Exposure to intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, or cross-border entity structures · Experience with automation tools or AI-assisted accounting workflows · Prior experience working with offshore or international finance teams (Asia-Pacific a plus) Responsibilities: General Ledger Management & Month-End Close Coordinate close milestones and timelines with the team; serve as primary point of escalation during the close window Own the full month-end close cycle across US, Mexico and Canada, including review and sign-off of all journal entries Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules; escalate and resolve variances Oversee inventory GL, obsolescence stock adjustments, intercompany debit notes, and commission processing across all entities Partner with the FP&A team to support month-end management reporting Payroll & Benefits Oversight Provide final approval on bi-weekly payroll across US, Canadian, and Mexico entities Review payroll journal entries, variance analysis, and associated accruals prepared by the Sr Finance Analyst Oversee 401k reconciliation, health insurance reconciliation, and annual 401k census preparation Ensure intercompany payroll funding requests are reviewed and authorized on schedule Tax, Compliance & Regulatory Filings Support the compliance team for multi-jurisdiction tax filings including Sales & Use, B&O, and GST/HST Review EOY tax workpapers and coordinate with external tax advisors for income tax and compliance requirements Manage waste tax, insurance accruals, and other compliance-driven entries across all three entities Maintain and update tax calendar; ensure all filing deadlines are met across US, Canada, and Mexico Multi-Entity & Subsidiary Operations Manage accounting across three operating entities (US, Canada, Mexico), ensuring appropriate entity-level controls and reporting Oversee intercompany transactions, including intercompany debit notes, funding requests, and elimination entries Coordinate with shared service finance teams on AP/AR posting, banking, and month-end alignment Support treasury and cash flow reporting; manage RPA (receivables purchase agreement) reconciliation and reporting Team Leadership & Development Directly manage and develop a team of 3–4 finance professionals (Sr Finance Analysts, Finance Analyst) Assign work, set priorities, review deliverables, and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback Support onboarding and training of new team members, including managing knowledge transfer for new hires Partner with VP Finance on headcount planning, org design, and team capacity Systems, Controls & Process Improvement Serve as the team%27s primary JDE power user — reviewing GL activity, running reports, supporting analyst system needs Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities; partner with internal resources to implement Maintain and enforce internal controls across the accounting and compliance function Support audit readiness and participate in external audit processes as needed This position description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the role. Position Title: Senior Manager, Finance Classification: Exempt Position Status: Full Time Reports To: Vice President Finance – North America Direct Reports: Finance Analyst Role Objectives: The Senior Manager, Finance Operations leads the day-to-day accounting, compliance, and operational finance functions for the NA region across three legal entities (US, Mexico, Canada). This role is the operational hub of the LA Finance team — owning the monthly close cycle, general ledger integrity, payroll oversight, multi-entity tax and compliance filings, and financial controls. The Senior Manager supervises a team of four and works in close collaboration with the shared services finance teams, the VP Finance in LA, and the FP&A function. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced accounting professional who combines deep technical GL expertise — ideally gained in JD Edwards (JDE) — with the judgment to manage multi-entity complexity, cross-functional stakeholders, and a high-volume close environment. The role requires someone who can both execute and lead: reviewing and approving journal entries, managing escalations, and mentoring analysts while driving process improvement and automation adoption. Qualifications: · Bachelor%27s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field · 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role · Comprehensive general ledger management experience — full-cycle close ownership across multiple entities · Deep hands-on proficiency with JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne; must be comfortable navigating GL, customer master, and reporting functions independently · Demonstrated experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities or subsidiaries · Working knowledge of multi-jurisdiction tax and compliance obligations (Sales & Use, B&O, GST/HST, or equivalent) · Strong payroll accounting background — multi-entity, multi-currency payroll journal preparation and review · Advanced Excel skills; experience with ADP or similar payroll platforms Preferred Qualifications: · Experience in a consumer goods, distribution, or manufacturing environment · Exposure to intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, or cross-border entity structures · Experience with automation tools or AI-assisted accounting workflows · Prior experience working with offshore or international finance teams (Asia-Pacific a plus) Responsibilities: General Ledger Management & Month-End Close Coordinate close milestones and timelines with the team; serve as primary point of escalation during the close window Own the full month-end close cycle across US, Mexico and Canada, including review and sign-off of all journal entries Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules; escalate and resolve variances Oversee inventory GL, obsolescence stock adjustments, intercompany debit notes, and commission processing across all entities Partner with the FP&A team to support month-end management reporting Payroll & Benefits Oversight Provide final approval on bi-weekly payroll across US, Canadian, and Mexico entities Review payroll journal entries, variance analysis, and associated accruals prepared by the Sr Finance Analyst Oversee 401k reconciliation, health insurance reconciliation, and annual 401k census preparation Ensure intercompany payroll funding requests are reviewed and authorized on schedule Tax, Compliance & Regulatory Filings Support the compliance team for multi-jurisdiction tax filings including Sales & Use, B&O, and GST/HST Review EOY tax workpapers and coordinate with external tax advisors for income tax and compliance requirements Manage waste tax, insurance accruals, and other compliance-driven entries across all three entities Maintain and update tax calendar; ensure all filing deadlines are met across US, Canada, and Mexico Multi-Entity & Subsidiary Operations Manage accounting across three operating entities (US, Canada, Mexico), ensuring appropriate entity-level controls and reporting Oversee intercompany transactions, including intercompany debit notes, funding requests, and elimination entries Coordinate with shared service finance teams on AP/AR posting, banking, and month-end alignment Support treasury and cash flow reporting; manage RPA (receivables purchase agreement) reconciliation and reporting Team Leadership & Development Directly manage and develop a team of 3–4 finance professionals (Sr Finance Analysts, Finance Analyst) Assign work, set priorities, review deliverables, and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback Support onboarding and training of new team members, including managing knowledge transfer for new hires Partner with VP Finance on headcount planning, org design, and team capacity Systems, Controls & Process Improvement Serve as the team%27s primary JDE power user — reviewing GL activity, running reports, supporting analyst system needs Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities; partner with internal resources to implement Maintain and enforce internal controls across the accounting and compliance function Support audit readiness and participate in external audit processes as needed This position description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the role.
