Description

Position Summary The Carrier Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of carrier data within the organization’s TMS systems. This role involves entering and managing carrier profiles, including the creation of SCACs (Standard Carrier Alpha Codes), to ensure accurate tracking and system integration. The role will also perform ongoing maintenance of the carrier database to support operational accuracy and compliance. Additionally, the position provides administrative support through report management, correspondence handling, and data entry tasks related to carrier operations. This individual will work from eShipping's office in Maryland Heights, MO. After initial training, this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of three days per week working from the office and two from home. Normal shift is M-F from 8am to 5pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to the following: • Carrier Entry and SCAC Creation: Responsible for entering carriers into the Jaguar system and creating SCACs (Standard Carrier Alpha Codes) to ensure proper tracking and system integration. • Carrier Database Maintenance: Perform regular updates and maintenance on the internal carrier database to ensure accuracy and efficiency in operations. • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative duties as assigned, including managing reports, correspondence, and data entry tasks related to carrier operations. Required Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Ability to work independently while balancing appropriate collaboration with leadership oversight • Excellent customer service, time management, and prioritization skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills in person and via phone • Able to utilize sound, independent judgment and make responsible decisions and recommendations. • Excellent follow-through and detail orientation • Able to effectively utilize computer programs including Word and Excel and TMS system • Ability to work with a variety of people and personality styles • Able to work within a climate controlled, fast-paced team environment, performing primarily sedentary work requiring sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time; maintaining standard office hours and working overtime as necessary to meet customer needs • Strong ability to persuade and positively influence others Minimum Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent • Industry experience is not required but highly preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess various activities and surroundings. • Cognitive/Mental Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to comprehend and use basic language, either written or spoken, to communicate simple and complex information, ideas, and information. The employee is also required to use logic to define problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information, and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations. The employee must use problem-solving skills to formulate and apply appropriate courses of action for routine or familiar situations. The employee may be required to perform numerical operations including basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing or more complex quantitative calculations. • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is inside a central heat and air-conditioned office building. The noise level in the work environment is minimal.
