    "description": "<p>Duties and responsibilities:</p>\n<p>Hold regular office hours, both in-person and online, to assist students with assignments, coding exercises, and conceptual understanding.<br>Assist with grading of programming assignments, reports, and exams in a fair and consistent manner under the supervision of the instructor.<br>Offer feedback to help students improve their computational and analytical skills.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Desired qualifications.</p>\n<p>Proficiency in at least one scientific programming language such as Python and R, Prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching assistantship is a plus, GPA &gt; 3.5</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Work Hours per student: 15 hours/week during semester session. When working during the break, have completed enrollment in the upcoming semester. <br><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>A note on break housing: <br>•If applicable, selected work study students may apply for break IGC housing starting from May 12, 10am. <br>•UL does not guarantee housing during the summer &amp; winter breaks for the work &amp; study program students who apply for the housing.<br>•Work &amp; Study students can reach out to UL Housing Staff or IGC housing office directly if they would like to receive more information about break housing.<br>•The break housing is usually offered on a first-come, first served bases. Please note that the housing office cannot guarantee availability if all rooms are already occupied.<br>•Work &amp; Student students will follow the same procedure as other students (application period, payment deadline, etc.) if they are planning to apply for break housing at IGC.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Please let us know your schedule (if confirmed) in advance.
