    "description": "<h2>Position Title</h2>Certified Pharmacy Technician HOPD Services\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><b>Purpose & Scope:</b></p>\n<p>The Certified Pharmacy Technician for Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD) services is responsible for all medication management needs incurred by the VHC Health HOPDs. </p>\n<p>This position also performs limited tasks including receiving daily pharmacy deliveries and supporting the inpatient pharmacy team during unplanned or planned staffing shortages. </p>\n<p><b>Education:</b></p>\n<p>High school diploma or equivalent is required.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Experience:</b></p>\n<p>Two years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience is required.</p>\n<p>One year of computer experience is required.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Certification/Licensure:</b></p>\n<p>Licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.</p>\n<p>Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Other Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with commonly prescribed medications, brand/generic names, use, doses, frequencies, and dosage forms is required</li>\n <li>Must have excellent computer skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure with other healthcare professionals</li>\n <li>Must be knowledgeable and serve as a resource to the Hospital Outpatient Department Staff regarding medication management, Joint Commission, Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulatory requirements. </li>\n</ul>",
