We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist, Junior to Intermediate level to support General Dynamics Mission Systems International programs, projects, and business activities by ensuring compliance with Canadian, U.S., and other applicable import, export, sanctions, customs, and anti‑corruption regulations. This role is ideal for candidates who would like the opportunity to develop or apply Trade Compliance expertise while working closely with program, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders in a regulated, international environment. In this role you will: Support program, bids, and support functions in delivering compliant international business activities Process and maintain accurate import/export documentation, licences, authorisations, and audit‑ready records Assist with export control classification of goods, software, and technical data Support U.S. re‑export and re‑transfer authorisation activities where required Respond to routine Trade Compliance queries and act as a first‑line problem solver, escalating higher‑risk issues appropriately Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify compliance requirements and support practical, compliant delivery Contribute to continuous improvement of Trade Compliance processes and record‑keeping Support travel, IT, visitor, and similar compliance authorisation processes Use digital tools such as AI responsibly to improve efficiency and accuracy, with all compliance decisions subject to human judgement including  What We Offer: Role Specific A structured Trade Compliance role with clear development and progression opportunities Exposure to international program and complex regulatory environments Supportive team environment with coaching and professional growth Opportunity to build long‑term expertise in Trade & Anti‑Corruption Compliance Degree or diploma in international trade, law, business supply chain, or a related field Minimum : Early exposure to Trade Compliance or regulated environments, with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Preferred Practical experience in Trade Compliance, export controls, customs, or related regulatory roles Understanding (or developing knowledge) of export controls, sanctions, customs, and record‑keeping requirements Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with cross‑functional stakeholders Professional, ethical, and risk‑aware mindset suited to a compliance environment  How We Work Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week Work Arrangement: Hybrid  Travel: Occasional travel may be required. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada. The hiring range for this position is $60,000-$72,500.
