In this influential role, you will drive technical quality across major transportation projects, mentor emerging engineers, and contribute to the evolution of safe, efficient, and future‑ready highway and rail systems.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for highway and rail projects</li>\n <li>Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues across multidiscipline transportation projects</li>\n <li>Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions</li>\n <li>Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints</li>\n <li>Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support</li>\n <li>Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Bring:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required; roadway or hydraulic design experience preferred</li>\n <li>SCDOT experience preferred</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required</li>\n <li>Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices</li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why You'll Love It Here:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as a technical leader within the transportation discipline, leading challenging highway and rail projects that elevate the safety, efficiency, and resilience of transportation systems</li>\n <li>Make a meaningful impact while mentoring the next generation of engineering talent</li>\n <li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a flexible, supportive work environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Curious about the impactful work our Highway & Rail team is doing?
