Teachers provide clear plans that enable substitute teachers to enter the classroom with confidence and ease.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\"> </span><br><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-weight: bold;\">General Expectations for CMIS Substitute Teachers</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, 2-year diploma or equivalent credential</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Openness to working in a context committed to Christian values</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Respect for and sensitivity to staff and students of all cultures and beliefs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Professionalism in appearance and behavior consistent with Christian values and cultural expectations of teachers in Thailand</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Willingness to follow teacher-provided lesson plans.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Flexibility to accept a variety of assignments, sometimes with limited notice.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-weight: bold;\">Substitute Teacher Pay Scale</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Payment to CMIS Substitute Teachers is made according to the following chart:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Regular Substitute Teacher*</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">1 Period  400 Baht</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">2 Periods 850 Baht</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">3+ Periods 1,700 Baht</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">*An approved sub covering assignments as needed, on a day-to-day basis</span><br><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\"> **An approved sub covering for more than 20 consecutive school days (4 weeks) with the same assignment (includes planning &amp; grading time).</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">In addition, the application process involves:</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">An in-person interview with CMIS administrators</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">A brief orientation with the Substitute Teacher Coordinator</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Current criminal clearance/background check from your home country or a Thai police background check*</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">*CMIS can provide a letter and instructions for obtaining a Thai police background check in Chiang Mai. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-weight: bold;\">CMIS Child Protection Statement</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Please know that CMIS places a high priority on protecting the students in our care. By submitting a Substitute Teacher application, you are stating that you have never harmed children, adolescents or vulnerable people either physically, sexually or emotionally. You are also stating categorically that that there is no reason why you should not work in a school setting with children. You also confirm that you are free from any criminal record, spent or otherwise, in any jurisdiction, with regard to offenses (or cautions/warnings) which may be deemed relevant to serving at CMIS.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">Applicants are also informed that any adult behaviors which contravene a professional standard of decency/respect, constitute sexual, physical or emotional abuse and/or are otherwise an infringement of a student’s right to physical and emotional safety are grounds for immediate dismissal.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;\">You understand that your signature on the application form confirms your acknowledgment of and adherence to the CMIS Child Protection statement.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul></ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>",
