    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to support the continued growth of our Data Center Division. This role is responsible for leading the estimating effort on large-scale electrical construction projects, developing accurate and competitive proposals, and supporting preconstruction activities from initial pursuit through project turnover.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have experience estimating complex electrical systems for data centers, mission critical facilities, large industrial projects, or similar high-profile construction projects. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with operations, project management, vendors, and customers.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>• Maintain positive working relationships with project teams, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.</p><p>• Produce accurate, complete, and competitive estimates while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.</p><p>• Lead job setup, quantity takeoffs, pricing development, and estimate preparation for large-scale electrical construction projects.</p><p>• Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure complete and competitive pricing.</p><p>• Prepare detailed bid summaries, clarifications, assumptions, and proposal documents.</p><p>• Participate in preconstruction meetings, design reviews, value engineering discussions, and project handoff meetings.</p><p>• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents to identify risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.</p><p>• Develop labor productivity assumptions, material pricing strategies, and project execution plans.</p><p>• Support business development efforts and assist in building long-term customer relationships.</p><p>• Mentor and support junior estimators while promoting consistency and estimating best practices.</p><p>• Eliminate waste such as rework, missed scope, estimating inefficiencies, and inaccurate pricing assumptions.</p><p><strong>Minimum Job Requirements</strong></p><p>• Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience on commercial, industrial, mission critical, or data center projects.</p><p>• Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, switchgear, generators, grounding, raceway systems, and medium-voltage installations.</p><p>• Experience preparing estimates for projects ranging from several million dollars to large-scale data center developments.</p><p>• Proficiency with estimating software including McCormick, Accubid, ConEst, or similar platforms.</p><p>• Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction management software.</p><p>• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.</p><p>• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.</p><p>• Ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneously.</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>• Experience estimating hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center projects.</p><p>• Experience with design-build and negotiated delivery methods.</p><p>• Familiarity with Navisworks, BIM coordination, and model-based quantity takeoffs.</p><p>• Vocational, technical, or college education in construction, engineering, or a related field.</p><p>• Previous field experience as an electrician, foreman, superintendent, or project engineer is highly desirable.</p><p><u>Note</u></p><p>Job Description is subject to change at any time and may include other duties as assigned.</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>• Work primarily in an office environment with extended periods of computer use.</p><p>• Ability to review drawings, specifications, and project documentation for extended periods.</p><p>• Occasional travel to customer locations, project sites, pre-bid meetings, and industry events may be required.</p><p>• Ability to wear personal protective equipment when visiting active construction sites.</p><p>Safety Level</p><p><strong>Safety-Sensitive</strong></p><p>Note: Jobs with the Safety-Sensitive designation are those that include tasks or duties that the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others such as supporting construction operations, coordinating project activities, and working in active industrial environments.</p><p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p>As a 100% employee-owned contractor, when you work at Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, you're not just joining a company, you're joining a culture.
