In this role, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of toxicologists, exposure scientists, health risk assessors, food scientists, nutrition scientists, and regulatory consultants providing safety reviews, conducting health risk assessments, and project management to support clients in the food and ingredient industries. This person will have opportunities to collaborate with other Exponent practice areas.</p>\n<h2>You will be responsible for</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Managing and organizing pre-market approval projects, such as GRAS, FAP/CAP, NDIN, and FCNs</li>\n <li>Providing strategic regulatory consulting related to food additives/ingredients, novel foods, botanical ingredients, and dietary supplements</li>\n <li>Interacting with clients and FDA regulators</li>\n <li>Preparing complex technical reports</li>\n <li>Project management and project budget oversight</li>\n <li>Mentoring and developing Scientist and Senior Scientist career goals and working collaboratively across the various Exponent practices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>You will have the following skills and qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ph.D. or M.S. degree in biochemistry, biological sciences, nutrition, toxicology, or related field</li>\n <li>10+ years of experience in food regulatory consulting</li>\n <li>Strong background in Human Health Risk Assessment</li>\n <li>Sound scientific principles, flexibility, and willingness to learn</li>\n <li>Excellent writing and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, effective with time management, and capable of working independently and cooperatively in diverse teams</li>\n <li>Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines</li>\n <li>Exposure to sensitive information will necessitate considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn and be creative</li>\n <li>Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent.
