    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong> </p>\n<p>​Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all people in and around the facility’s swimming pool. </p>\n<p>May 2026 - August 2026. Flexible schedule - Full time or Part time</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors in and around the pool. </li>\n <li>​Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies. </li>\n <li>​Administer first aid and CPR, including using an AED and if trained, administer emergency oxygen when needed. </li>\n <li>​Rescue distressed swimmers when necessary. </li>\n <li>​Enforce the pool rules in an appropriate, fair and equitable manner and explain the rationale for the rule(s) when needed. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Assist people as needed, but without compromising the safety of others using the facility. </li>\n <li>​May perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe pool. </li>\n <li>​Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.  When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.  Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​High school diploma or equivalent required. </li>\n <li>​One or more years’ previous lifeguard experience required.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Must have Lifeguard Certification from an accredited organization. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.</li>\n <li>​First aid may be required based on state or facility. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>",
