This role serves as a technical subject matter expert for VMware technologies, driving lifecycle management, automation, system stability, and cross-functional infrastructure integration while providing technical leadership and operational support.<br><br><strong>Duties:</strong><ul><li>Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize VMware vSphere clusters, ESXi hosts, and core virtualization infrastructure.</li><li>Administer and optimize vCenter Server operations, including templates, host profiles, distributed configurations, and environment standardization.</li><li>Implement, support, and troubleshoot VMware vSAN environments, including storage policy configuration, performance tuning, capacity planning, and issue resolution.</li><li>Architect, configure, and maintain VMware NSX-T networking and security components, including micro-segmentation strategies.</li><li>Manage and support VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments and integrated platform components to align with enterprise architecture standards.</li><li>Perform lifecycle management activities using VMware Lifecycle Manager (vLCM), including upgrades, patching, compliance tracking, and environment maintenance.</li><li>Develop automation and orchestration solutions using VMware Aria (vRealize) Automation, Orchestrator, PowerCLI, and scripting tools to streamline infrastructure operations.</li><li>Monitor system performance, conduct root-cause analysis, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal environment stability and uptime.</li><li>Maintain security compliance across virtualized environments through access management, system hardening, auditing, and adherence to operational standards.</li><li>Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, storage, and application teams to design and deliver integrated technical solutions.</li><li>Create and maintain technical architecture documentation, standard operating procedures, disaster recovery documentation, and operational runbooks.</li><li>Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and participate in on-call support and incident response activities.</li></ul><br><strong>Required Skills:</strong><ul><li>Extensive hands-on experience administering VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter within large-scale enterprise environments.</li><li>Strong expertise with one or more advanced VMware technologies, including vSAN, NSX-T, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), or VMware Aria Suite.</li><li>Proficiency with PowerShell and PowerCLI automation for scripting, orchestration, and systems administration.</li><li>Strong understanding of enterprise compute, storage, and network architectures in complex infrastructure environments.</li><li>Experience performing capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management for enterprise virtualization platforms.</li></ul>",
