Assesses patient’s mental status through interviews and observations and then develops treatment plans provides therapy, or makes referrals to appropriate services. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with clients and families to determine goals for treatment. </li>\n <li>Solicits family information, observations, and concerns. </li>\n <li>Interviews observes and develops treatment plans for patients. </li>\n <li>Implements, goals, policies, and activities designed to meet program objectives. </li>\n <li>Conducts individual and group therapy sessions for clients/families with mental illness, emotional, family dynamic concerns, and substance abuse problems. </li>\n <li>Provides referrals to appropriate mental health resources. </li>\n <li>Monitors clients’ treatment progress and keeps track of their mental status. </li>\n <li>Consults with other mental health professionals to provide effective courses of treatment. </li>\n <li>Provides crisis intervention services to patients who are in danger to themselves and others. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Who You Will Be</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>NYSED LMSW or LMHC license; </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OR </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>other QHP (Qualified Health Professional) status such as LMSW-Limited Permit and must be obtained within 90 days from the date of hire and licensed within One year from the date of hire; </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OR</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>MHC-Limited Permit and must obtained within 90 days from the date of hire.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid NYS Driver’s License.</li>\n <li>Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling. </li>\n <li>At least One-Two years of demonstrated clinical experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment for designated programs based on the needs of the facility. </li>\n <li>Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR. </li>\n <li>Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. </li>\n <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality. </li>\n <li>Ability to travel throughout Westchester County via company vehicle to provide mental health services in Client’s home as needed.</li>\n <li>Ability to provide services for 5 co-locations (Yonkers, Mount Vernon, White Plains, Peekskill) as needed. </li>\n</ul>",
