The Industrial Painter II is responsible for full-cycle industrial painting operations, including surface preparation, coating application, and final finish inspection in a manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to work independently while meeting quality, safety, and production standards. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Use paints, solvents, and other chemicals used to prepare surfaces while painting and/or cleaning.</li>\n <li>Work inside the paint booth, shop, wash bay or outdoors independently.</li>\n <li>Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment.</li>\n <li>Correct prepare and tape off surfaces before painting.</li>\n <li>Safely hang parts for painting.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read blueprints independently.</li>\n <li>Carefully remove painted parts from racks and prepare for shipping.</li>\n <li>Must be able to complete a full cycle from the paint preparation to the finished product independently.</li>\n <li>Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work within strict timelines and meet deadlines for work orders.</li>\n <li>Must be able to order supplies when needed.</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrates quality work through accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.</li>\n <li><p>Exhibits efficiency in problem solving by identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner to meet established customer deadlines.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and share expertise with others.</p></li>\n <li><p>Commitment to a standard of excellence in customer service.</p></li>\n <li><p>Shows adaptability by effectively responding to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.</p></li>\n <li><p>Exhibits superior dependability by consistently arriving to work on time and as scheduled.</p></li>\n <li><p>Contributes to building a positive team environment through commitment, respect and communication.</p></li>\n <li><p>Demonstrates professionalism by acting with integrity, high moral standards and personal accountability.</p></li>\n <li><p>Shows organizational support by consistently following policy and procedures.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Must have a minimum of 1 year of industrial paint experience.</li>\n <li>Full knowledge of industrial painting and bodywork.</li>\n <li>Able to read blueprints.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate the ability to read paint codes and mix paint; may be required to use various types of measuring devices.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of safety procedures.</li>\n <li>Must be capable of utilizing proper PPE.</li>\n <li>Ability to utilize desktop computer systems, hardware and operating systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.</li>\n <li>Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).</li>\n <li>Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.</li>\n <li>Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.</li>\n <li>Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.</li>\n <li>Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.</li>\n <li>Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.</li>\n <li>Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.</li>\n <li>Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.</li>\n <li>Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.</li>\n</ul>",
