Coverage needed 7 days per week for initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>North Port Behavioral Health Hospital is a new 144-bed acute hospital located in North Port, FL and offers specialized care for adolescents ages 13-17, adults age 18 and older, and seniors age 55 and older who are living with mental health concerns and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our comprehensive approach is tailored to each age group, addressing the mental, physical, emotional, and social aspects of well-being to promote holistic healing.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a <strong>Full-Time, Hospitalist </strong>to join our skilled and patient focused team.</p>\n<p><strong>For more information, please contact Eva Fassauer at [email protected] or call/text 615-861-7410.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p>\n<p>To deliver direct care including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of medical and mental health problems as defined by professional scope of practice.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.</li>\n <li>Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.</li>\n <li>Ensure the physical health and care of patients, working constructively and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals is held to the highest standards.</li>\n <li>Review and complete medical information for individual care plans.</li>\n <li>Direct services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.</li>\n <li>One or more years’ experience as a staff physician with the population served by the facility preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses/Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current license to practice medicine, by the state in which the facility(s) operates.</li>\n <li>Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification in a behavioral health specialty.</li>\n <li>Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.</li>\n <li>Additional specific DEA credentials may be required, per state and facility regulations or policy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our Comprehensive Treatment Network </p>\n<p> ~23,500 Employees · ~11,400 Beds · 258 Locations · 38 States · 1 Network </p>\n<p> As a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in the United States and Puerto Rico, Acadia Healthcare operates 258 treatment facilities across 38 states.
