Editor, Children's - Global Publishing

Editor, Children’s – Global Publishing Overview We are seeking an innovative, skilled editor with a deep love of children’s storytelling to join our Global Publishing team. This role is ideal for a creative editorial professional who thrives in a dynamic studio environment and brings deep experience working across both internal and licensed publishing programs. The Editor will acquire, develop, and oversee titles based on beloved and iconic franchises, including PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, Garfield, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The role requires close collaboration with external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure each project is brand-accurate, creatively ambitious, and executed to the highest standards. This position works cross-functionally with teams across film, television, franchise, animation, consumer products, and brand management to build a compelling, fan-approved publishing program for kids and families. A solid eye for creative storytelling and a solid knowledge of the children’s publishing space is highly valued. Responsibilities Edit manuscripts for a robust list including storybooks, chapter books, beginning readers, coloring and activity, educational, non-fiction, and novelty titles Acquire new projects and shape editorial strategy for both vertical and licensed titles Work with art department to review sketches, final art, and cover design Manage multiple projects and meet ambitious deadlines Negotiate with authors, illustrators, and agents Oversee title P&Ls Cultivate, foster, and maintain relationships with licensees and internal stakeholders Interact with TV, film, franchise, animation, consumer products, and brand teams Review marketing and publicity materials In-house writing Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Minimum 5 yrs+ publishing experience in publishing Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Knowledge with Adobe Strong P&L management skills Remarkable attention to detail and grammar Domestic and international travel may be required Additional Qualifications Children’s publishing is preferred Photoshop and Illustrator preferred Paramount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 110,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
