This role is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing specialized operational equipment (various car washes across San Antonio) while also supporting broader facility maintenance needs across our Elmendorf, Texas plant.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role ideal for an experienced technician who can independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex equipment, while also contributing across multiple skilled trades when needed.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities (Core Focus):</strong></p><ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on specialized automated equipment and systems</li><li>Analyze mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures; disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical systems using wiring diagrams, schematics, and volt/ohm meters</li><li>Read and interpret manufacturer manuals, technical specifications, and SOPs</li><li>Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently</li><li>Maintain equipment, motors, machines, tools, and materials to customer and industry standards</li></ul><p><strong>Secondary Responsibilities (Supporting Facility Maintenance):</strong></p><ul><li>Support general facility maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and light fabrication areas&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with facility inspections, preventative maintenance schedules, and repair planning&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and storage spaces</li><li>Support cost control efforts by evaluating parts, warranties, vendors, and service options</li><li>Assist leadership with maintenance planning and equipment needs<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Why Should You Join Our Team?</strong></p><p>At VP Racing, we don’t just create high-performance fuels, we create high-performance careers. We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and assist in providing solutions to challenges that arise.
