Due to the evolving needs of the District, additional job responsibilities may be assigned (depending on funding sources). Qualifications Valid MDE teaching certificate in GX or GH, or a valid MDE Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching certificate in CIP Code 52.0299 (Business Administration Management & Operations), or eligibility to obtain an Annual Career Authorization (ACA) with 4,000 hours of recent, relevant industry experience within the past five years Experience working with high school students and diverse populations Strong understanding of business concepts to include management, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship Job Responsibilities • Deliver instruction aligned to state-approved standards for CIP Code 52.0299 • Design and implement engaging, real-world lessons that integrate business simulations, case studies, and project-based learning • Create a structured, inclusive, and hands-on learning environment • Use data and assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction • Maintain accurate records including attendance, grading, and program documentation • Facilitate work-based learning experiences, including internships and job shadows • Build partnerships with local businesses and industry professionals • Coordinate guest speakers, field experiences, and career exploration activities • Support student participation in CTSOs (ex., DECA, FBLA) • Organize and lead at least two advisory committee meetings annually • Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain industry relevance • Complete required CIP self-review and state reporting • Perform additional duties aligned to district goals Work Environment & Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to move throughout the building and campus, including classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces. Frequent verbal communication is required to instruct students, lead meetings, and collaborate with staff and families. May be required to stand or walk for extended periods, including during supervisory duties. Occasional bending, reaching, or sitting on the floor to interact with students. Regular use of computers and instructional technology for planning, instruction, and communication. Must be able to lift or carry instructional materials and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
